We believe in offering something different, DJs, Discos, Musicians and entertainment that are going to make a real difference to your wedding. We have attended many weddings as both guests and "turns". You get to a certain age and all your friends start to get married, we have been through that and know what it is like to stand there and be embarrassed for them when a reject from the 1970's makes an appearance as the DJ, playing music that should have be retired long ago!

We offer a contemporary experience and service. We want your wedding to be fantastic and for you to send us your feedback. We do what we say, play great music that everyone can enjoy without playing any song with a dance attached to it - "Oops Upside Your Head"! however, we are all partial to the odd guilty pleasure!

StylishWeddingDisco.co.uk is a trading name of Nigel Peirce Entertainment, we are based in Somerset however, we have DJ's, Musicians, Entertainers and their agents dotted all over the place, so geography is not an issue for us - as you can see from the venues we play on our testimonials page. As a company, we offer an entertainment and production service including hire for parties, weddings, corporate events and functions.

Nigel Peirce has spent many years mixing either sound or light or both, and, producing! As a school-boy, he designed the lighting for school plays in Bath and then attended two seasons of the National Youth Theatre in London followed by a Theatre Technicians Lighting course after his O levels. At the same time, he combined his love of lighting with a love of music and started as a mobile disco DJ in 1981 for Charles & Di's wedding. A local DJ took him under their wing and showed him the ropes, pretty soon he was the richest kid in school earning £50 a weekend! This was made possible by his dad owning a juke-box company and consequently, he had the pick of all the records, although, none of them had middles!

Moving to London at 17, he spent the next 20 years working in West End recording studios as a sound-designer for TV & Radio advertising, the first 5 years he returned home every weekend to DJ in the South West. Finally, after selling his first decks, he severed ties with the mobile disco business in Wiltshire and committed fully to London life. This involved landing a job as a Radio DJ at the Virgin Megastore in Oxford Street every Saturday for 3 years. Following a year in Australia in 1990, he returned to London and worked a producer at the launch of Virgin Radio where he produced talent including Chris Evans.

It was during the early 90's that DJ Nige became a big time clubber, Happy House was his favoured style. He also started to mix dance albums for EMI and Universal Music, titles include Disco Mix 96, ClubLand, ClubMix, Dave Pearce Dance Anthems & a load more that are probably sitting on your shelf. He was also a producer for Pete Tong's essential selection on Radio 1 for a feature called House Rules.

In 1997 he left full time employment and founded the Production Factory (factory studios) a TV & Radio Production company with recording studios in Margaret St, W1. As MD & Head Producer, he won many advertising awards and "gold discs". He project managed the expansion of the business and designed the recording studio build and facility with a large budget.

By 2003 Nigel, his wife and kids returned to their spiritual home in Somerset and severed ties with London. After promoting some parties, he was asked to DJ back-stage at Glastonbury Festival, Nige was the resident DJ and couldn't believe his luck, thinking it was a burger van and finding out it was a huge marquee with a capacity of 1000 people. Unprepared, he shipped his CD's in a Banana Box however, this life-changing experience re-ignited his enthusiasm for DJ'ing. Following another stint at the Reading Festival, he purchased the loan decks from Pioneer and started to offer his unique form of commercial yet cool DJ'ing to the discerning party host. Seven years later, he has a number of DJ's that he has mentored and life has gone full circle, only this time the venues are better, the music is better and, it's a joyous thing to give people a good time as your full time job.
